Victim Quick Response Program
The VQRP offers immediate assistance to help victims of violent crimes
who cannot obtain it through other resources
Provide Financial Assistance for:

1.Short-term
immediate counselling services
-
2.Funeral
expenses for victims of homicide
3.Immediate
emergency expenses for:
-
nCrime
scene clean up of bodily fluids
-
nHome
repairs to secure premises for immediate safety
-
nTransportation
costs to identify victim of homicide or support a victim suffering
serious injury as result of violent crime
-
nChild
care and dependent care to enable family member to identify homicide
victim or support victim of violent crime
-
nAccommodation
/ transportation & meal when there are is no secure area available
Service Priorities:

nHomicide
(including attempted murder)

physical assault

nCrime
occurred in Ontario, Victim resides in Ontario

nCrime
reported to Police, Hospital, Shelter, Sexual Assault Center or VCARS
-
nApplication
must be made within 14 days after the crime is reported

are no other resources available to meet victim’s
immediate need

nVictim
is not charged in the reported occurrence
